weddings in libraries
Weddings in libraries, bookstores, and other bookish places. I suppose it’s not really a shenanigan if the library makes money by hosting weddings — but it might feel like a shenanigan to the brides and grooms and their guests! job posting for North Pole Librarian
This posting for a North Pole Librarian is totally legitimate and not a shenanigan at all. It just seems like one. Thanks, Joan Petit!

Club, Harrison “says it’s obviously not Yoda, just a thing that looks like Yoda, but we think he’s just covering up for the fact that Yoda’s existence in medieval France throws everything we know about history into disarray.” Thanks, Steve Lawson!
Montana libraries get looms!
Three libraries in the ImagineIF library system in Montana are now offering patrons the opportunity to try weaving on a loom. As Helen Carter Bergner put it on Facebook, “libraries are getting 3D printers … why not looms?” I agree! If we’re going to offer maker spaces and technologies, let’s offer all kinds!
